Objectives
The Community Health Worker Training Program-Technical Assistance Center program provides an infrastructure for leadership, expertise, and support to enhance the coordination and capacity building of award recipients under the Community Health Worker Training Program (CWHTP). Through innovative partnerships with federal agencies and other regional and local entities, the CHWTP-TAC will be able to provide the necessary resources to address standards that are required to have a successful trainee/apprenticeship program for Community Health Workers and/or Health Support Workers. The CHWTP-TAC will serve as a resource hub to coordinate, establish and strengthen CHW curricula; create a high quality career pathway from a credentialed apprenticeship program to employment, and function as a focal point to gain information to strengthen data for CHWTP award recipients.
