The objective of this desk review is to evaluate Newtok Village Council’s documentation supporting the uses of its Coronavirus Relief Fund proceeds as reported in GrantSolutions, and to assess risk of unallowable use of funds. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act requires the Office of Management and Budget, in consultation with Department of the Treasury, the Council of Economic Advisers, and the Small Business Administration, to issue quarterly reports to Congress and the public on the economic impact of certain coronavirus funds.
