This Single Audit identifies federal funds spent by state agencies from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021. During this time, many state agencies were drawing down federal stimulus dollars from the Coronavirus Relief Fund. In this audit millions of questioned costs were discovered. We have conducted the Statewide Single Audit of the State of Connecticut for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021. Among other findings, this report identifies that Connecticut nursing home residents and staff for COVID-19, the state Department of Public Health did not track whether testing providers were also collecting insurance payments that would need to be remitted to the state.

This snapshot presents a summary of pandemic-related impacts to 30 of the Agency's major programs and projects at the end of fiscal year 2020 with an estimated impact of approximately $1.6 billion of the $3 billion total in COVID impact reported by NASA.
