One year has passed since the CARES Act was enacted, introducing $2.1 trillion in taxpayer dollars to help people, businesses and the economy recover from the pandemic. But who oversees this spending? How do we, as a country, ensure accountability?
Founded in the CARES Act, the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC) set out to ensure that pandemic relief funds are spent responsibly and appropriately. So, what has happened over the course of the last year? With the addition of the American Rescue Plan's $1.9 trillion relief package, what's ahead?
